Galaxy Gear Smartwatch Sales has been disappointing report says

Despite the aggressiveness in promoting Samsung's first wearable device,the Galaxy Gear the sales figures have not been eye-catching(makes me wonder, a lot of promo went into that product)


Business Korea in a report has claimed that around 50,000 units of the Galaxy Gear has been sold, since its launch in September,it gets just daily sales of 800 to 900 units globally which is below the company's expectations.



The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch which used to be compatible with only two devices, the Galaxy Note 3 phablet and Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition tablet but it later extended the compatibility to Galaxy Round, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy S3 but it still didn't help boost the slow sales
that much.

The Galaxy Gear smartwatch features a 1.63-inch (4.14 cm) OLED display. It can make calls (via a compatible smartphone), display messages and notifications, record videos and snap photos with its 1.9-megapixel camera. The battery life, a key challenge for most wearable devices, is said to be around 27 hours under Samsung's normal-use tests.


The CEO of Samsung Electronics , Kwon oh Hyun said there is room for improvement for the device saying that the company is 100 percent  satisfied by the product...
